NAME THAT TUNE

NAME THAT TUNE

Name That Tune is a fun, interactive pub quiz-type game for your guests to play in teams. Your Name That Tune Hosts put the emphasis on having fun with the music while the teams enjoy trying to “one up” each other. This is a great game to get people in the mood for dancing or as a night of entertainment in itself. The game can run from two to three hours depending on how many rounds you would like to play. We suggest you supply a first prize - something to add some spice to the game

STEP ONE - FORM YOUR TEAM:

Your guests are asked to form teams - usually each table is their own team.  The number of team members can vary - the more members on the team equals more brain power, but more people to share the prize with.

STEP TWO - NAME THE TEAM AND CHOOSE YOUR DECADES

This is the hardest part!  The team mates have to come up with a name that can be repeated over the microphone.  It can be something fun like "The Quizzard Of Oz", "We're Here to Establish An Alibi" or "Menace To Sobriety"  anything they like.  They also choose the decades of music they are most familiar with.  They will only be played songs from those decades.

TO PLAY THE GAME:

The DJ will play your team a tune (in turn). If you name that tune, you get 10 points. If you name the artist, you get another 10 points and if you can guess the year that the song was released - you get another 10 points. A maximum total of 30 points per turn. NO LOOKING UP THE ANSWERS ON YOUR PHONE!!!! Close does count when you are guessing the year. If you are off by one year, you get 5 points instead of 10. The team with the most points at the end of the game - WINS!
